We want to share an update from the City of Battle Creek Water Division regarding the hydrant activity man residents have noticed on Beadle Lake Road.
The hydrant is being used as part of a routine flushing program to keep water moving through the system and help maintain safe drinking water quality. This is a planned and monitored process and does not indicate a water main break, leak, or emergency.
The City has also advised that an automatic flushing device will be installed in the coming days, which will help reduce the need for visible manual hydrant flushing in the future.
Please note: this activity DOES NOT impact residents’ water bills.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as these proactive steps are taken to ensure safe and reliable water service for our community.
