The Calhoun County Road Department (CCRD) has officially kicked off its 2025 construction season with a full slate of activity, including pothole patching, federally funded and locally supported road projects, and routine maintenance throughout the county.
A full list of this year’s planned road projects is available on the Current Construction webpage at calhouncountymi.gov/roadconstruction. Projects are organized by township and categorized as either federal aid or local road projects. Each listing includes key project details such as road classification (local or primary), project location, roadway length, scope of work, estimated cost, and funding sources.
Additionally, residents can explore these projects using an interactive map developed by the Calhoun County GIS Department at https://bit.ly/2025CCRD.
Weekly construction updates will be posted weekly on the Calhoun County Road Department Facebook page and the Weekly Updates webpage, providing information on upcoming work, weather permitting.
As part of its annual maintenance strategy, CCRD is once again using a systematic approach to countywide pothole patching. Beginning April 14, following the seasonal reopening of Hot Mix Asphalt plants, 17 contractor crews—alongside Road Department staff—have been deployed to address potholes. Crews will work in two townships at a time, cycling through the entire county as efficiently as possible.

Residents are encouraged to report road-related concerns using the CCRD service request app or through the web portal at calhouncountymi.gov/reportaproblem.
