GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. The Individual must have: an excellent attendance record, reliable transportation, be self-motivated, positive, and team-oriented with the ability to work cooperatively with staff. The Individual Must also be knowledgeable with a computer and a proficient typist, applicant should enjoy filing, as this position is very organized. Must be able to perform duties with awareness of all State requirements and Township Board Policies. There is a lot of standing/ sitting, some heavy lifting, reaching.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: An employee in this class may be called upon to do any or all of the following (these examples do not include all of the tasks which the employee may be expected to perform.):
This position is imperative for our Elections to run smoothly. It may seem like a small task, but this job keeps up the records for the entire Township’s voting community; which consists of over 12,000 residents. Tasks include:
· Updating & filing Voter Master Cards (new voters/name changes/cancelations)
· Updating addresses & creating new Voter Registration Cards
· Assembling envelopes for Absentee Voters with voting instructions
· Issuing/filing Absentee Voter Applications per precinct/ ballot style
· Issuing/filing Absentee Voter Ballots & Balancing
· Working with computer program for Voter Registration- QVF
· Constantly complying Election updates/classes on E-Learning Center issued by the State
· Generate reports (AV lists, Precinct Lists, Ballot Summary, Remarks, and more)
· Answering Phones and directing calls
